The Great Britain Gambling Commission just announced that they will start banning all sorts of credit card deposits at the legalized online casinos. This measure that will start next April of 2020 will not only cover online gambling but all sorts of land-based casinos and gambling in general.
According to the reports, this measure will start to avoid addition. The report suggests that a credit card opens the way to people bet more without thinking of consequences.
This action will affect all sorts of gambling, except the local national lottery and Scratch-Cards sold in approved retailers. This leads us to think that the British government may be worried that banning credit cards from online casinos might cause a big loss in revenue for the operators. Maybe thats why they are avoiding that ban to affect their own lotteries and scratch cards? So they don’t lose profit? We are 100% sure!
This ban started after a public consultation from August to November of 2019. In that consultation they asked previous gamblers if they thought that having a limit on their credit cards, or a complete ban would help them with a gambling addiction.
We all know gambling addiction is a really serious question. Thats a fact. But how would people gamble at online casinos? Can you imagine the need of doing bank transfers everytime you want to have fun at slot machines online?
In our opinion, the thing that they have to realize, is that an online casino player likes to play online to avoid having to go outside and go at a land-based casino. Specially if the weather outside is bad, or if it’s really late in the night. How would people gamble there? We all know that BANK TRANSFERS take a big time to complete. With that new credit card ban, people would have most likely to deposit the money at their favorite casino, and wait around 48 hours to verification.
We truly understand that there are people who suffer from a serious problem called gambling addiction. But there are way of controlling that. Many casino players who suffer from addiction, simply ask the gambling operations and their banks to ban them at their platforms.
If that credit card ban really takes place, people will have to start gambling at: Online Casinos with paypal
